New York

So my best friend and I are planning a trip to New York City! I am so excited as I have never been there before. My best friend went for the first time last year and she is very excited about going back. HOPEFULLY our trip will happen in late september. We are thinking monday through friday. I've been talking about it non-stop BUT after this will speak no more of it until I actually buy my plane tickets.

Fun and Fashion

I couldn't believe what a steal these bracelets were! Only $2.25 for each set. I am feeling a little guilty that I can't remember the name of the store I bought them in. I have to get better about that.

When I first saw them I thought they were great but started thinking that perhaps there were a dab bit childish. Oh well! I think they are great add to all the black I have in my wardrobe. They add a little bit of color and sparkle. They made me smile!

weddings

So i've decided that I want to get married at a bed in breakfast. I want it to be a small wedding... just close family and friends. I have never been good with crowds, I can't imagine getting married in front of tons of people! Having to stand up there with so many eyes on me! so a small wedding it is. I want it to have a wonderful antique shabby chic feel. My dress wont be vintage or anything.. I want a beautiful princess dress. I want there to be candles, glitter and diamonds everywhere! I'm thinking the colors will be a champagne gold and a soft pink. I want fresh flowers everywhere as well. I never wanted an out door reception but I think I've changed my mind on that.

Now I just have to get engaged :)

Stuck in traffic

I got stuck in traffic on the way home monday night. The sky was soo beautiful that I couldn't resist taking some pictures. The other drivers were looking @ me! Oh well.

Making things for my room...

Here is a cute idea for hanging up (some) of my jewelry.

I have this hanging on my wall. I bought it at a craft fair last year. I fell in love with it! I was thinking that it would actually look great in a bathroom with soft pink towels and wicker baskets :)

not sure where I am going to put this at yet. But I liked the way it turned out. I just bought a square piece of wood at the craft store. I used antique rose, antique teal and gold to paint it. Then I added the little things on top. Most of them are stickers that I added glitter paint to. I love all things glitter!

stuff on my walls

My bedroom has nothing on it's walls right now... well two small things but that's about it. I can't wait to put things up now that I know what I want to do. I'm going to go to the local craft store and grab so scrap booking supplies and basically make a giant scrapbook page and frame it. I'm going to do two of them. I believe the frames are 11 by 16 or something like that. I want to do victorianish, country cottage feeling pages. I'm really excited! I just hope they work out the way I want them.

So I've been inspired by a lot of the wonderful blogs I've encountered on this site. I can't wait to have some extra free time for my photography. Also, I can't wait to have some free time for antique shopping. I have these great visions of things I want to buy. I hope my boyfriend doesn't mind that I am going to take total control of the house decorations! I really want a country shabby chic bathroom which I'm not so sure he'll go for.. but we'll see. As for my photography I was up at 1:00am last night taking pictures of things I had around my room. It was fun to arrange them and capture their essence. They make me happy and it was great to capture that in a picture. I have so many ideas now. Yay for blogger.com!

Movie Time

Yay, I am going to dinner and a movie tonight with a friend I haven't seen since her birthday... which as in November! Time seems to fly by as you get older. There just isn't enough time to do all the things you want to do. It's odd though, how you go from having a million friends when your in high school to only a few really good friends later on. It's nice to know that even though I don't see they as often as I would like they are still there for me. They understand that there are always a million other things that need to get done so our time is limited. I'm looking forward to having girl talk! It will be nice to just relax over dinner (that I dont have to cook! with dishes I don't have to wash!) and then head off to a movie.

baby it's cold outside

So it's a rain, cloudy, cold day and here I am at 3:30pm still in my pjs. I can't decide what I want to do, I feel rather lazy and it's kind of nice. Although when I'm this lazy and mellow I usually start thinking too much. Try to analize everything.. figure things out. Put everything in its place. It would probably be best if I would find something else to do, rather than sit here and tell the world that I am thinking too much.

I have this urge to sit outside. I just want to sit in the rain. I want to feel it on my skin. That sounds kind of nice. . .
